Bio
Indara is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter and producer born in Mexico City.
She is no stranger to music since she started playing the violin aged three and later on fell in love with both piano and guitar. Because of the love her father has for music, she grew up listening to a variety of sounds, mainly rock from the 70s and 80s, including David Bowie, Annie Lennox, and Roxy Music, among others. Other musicians that shaped her sound can be found in the dream pop, indie pop, and alternative scenes, such as Marina, Lana del Rey, Lorde, and The Marias.
At fourteen she began producing and writing her music, following the steps of one of her idols Finneas O'Connell.
June of 2022 saw the release of Indara’s debut single ‘Hold The Line’. the self-produced song is full of energetic synths, punchy drums, and catchy melodies. Her lyrics capture emotions we all have felt, mainly going through our teenage years. The intimacy of her sound is a reflection of all of her projects being made on the walls of her childhood bedroom.
